Privacy Policy

Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and any profile details you choose to add — display name, bio, avatar, and social media links. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account.

When you add a build, we store the vehicle information, modifications, and photos you upload, along with votes you cast on other builds.

Direct messages you send to other users are stored so the conversation can be delivered and displayed. If you use the iOS app and enable notifications, we store a device push token so we can deliver alerts for things like new messages and comments.

How we use it

Your information is used to operate the platform: displaying your public profile and builds, authenticating your sessions, and showing rankings based on community votes. We don't sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.

What's public

CommunityBuilds is a public community platform. Your username, display name, avatar, bio, social links, and any published builds (including photos and modifications) are visible to anyone who visits the site. Unpublished builds and your email address are never shown publicly.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Third-party services

We use Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage, Vercel for hosting, Google for optional sign-in, and Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications on the iOS app. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security practices.

Your data

You can edit or delete your builds and photos at any time from your dashboard. You can permanently delete your account — including your profile, builds, photos, comments, votes, followers, messages, and any stored push token — from Dashboard → Security. This can't be undone.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict how it's processed. Account deletion is self-service (see above); for anything else, contact us at buildscommunity@gmail.com. If you're in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

CommunityBuilds is operated by an individual developer, not a registered company. For any privacy question or data request, reach out at buildscommunity@gmail.com.

Age requirement

CommunityBuilds is not intended for children under 16. If you're under 16, please don't create an account.
